# Quickstart: Your First Kova Checkout Profile

> Get from Discord sign-in to a ready checkout profile in a few steps. Set up your account, connect an IMAP inbox, create a profile, and choose a product.

This guide takes you from your first sign-in to a ready Kova checkout profile. You will complete onboarding, connect an IMAP inbox, create a retailer-specific profile, and opt into a product. If you are new to Kova, start here.

  <Step title="Sign in with Discord">
    Go to the Kova portal and click the Discord sign-in button to authenticate. Your Discord account links your Kova membership, so you must use the same account you were invited with. For more details, see [Discord sign-in](/account/sign-in).

  <Step title="Complete onboarding">
    After signing in, complete the onboarding flow. This sets up your account preferences and prepares the portal for your first profile. For a deeper walkthrough, see [Onboarding](/account/onboarding).

  <Step title="Add an IMAP account">
    Connect an email inbox using IMAP so Kova can track order confirmations and, for account-based retailers, import profiles with saved credentials. For step-by-step instructions, see [Add an IMAP account](/imap/add-account).

    Go to the Profiles section and create a new checkout profile for your chosen retailer. Enter the retailer-specific details and save the profile. See [Create a profile](/profiles/create) for detailed guidance.
