# Export Your Kova Account Data

> Download a JSON copy of your Kova account, preferences, non-secret profile fields, and inbox metadata for your records.

You can download a copy of your non-secret Kova account data at any time. Open **Dashboard → Settings → Download my data** to generate `kova-data-export.json`.

## What the export includes

* Account identity from Discord (username, ID, email)
* Your preferences and default retailer
* Non-secret profile address and contact fields, grouped by retailer
* Non-secret IMAP connection metadata (nickname, host, port, TLS, enabled state)

## What the export excludes

The export intentionally leaves out sensitive fields:

* Retailer account passwords
* IMAP usernames and app passwords or tokens
* Full card numbers and CVVs
* Any data belonging to other members

<Note>
  Only the last four digits of card numbers are stored in clear text for identification, and even those are omitted from the export.

## When to export

Common reasons to export:

* Keep an offline backup of your profile addresses.
* Review what Kova has stored about your account.
* Migrate profile data into your own tooling.
