# Permanently Delete Your Kova Account

> Remove your Kova account, profiles, stored credentials, inboxes, orders, and activity in one confirmed deletion step.

Deleting your Kova account permanently removes your data from the active application. Use this when you no longer want to keep any information on file with Kova.

  Deletion cannot be undone. Export your data first if you want to keep a copy.

## What gets deleted

Confirming account deletion removes:

* Your Kova account and Discord link
* All checkout profiles across every retailer
* Stored retailer passwords and payment cards
* IMAP accounts and their encrypted secrets
* Settings and preferences
* Sessions (you are signed out immediately)
* Product selections
* Orders and email-event metadata
* Activity records

## Delete your account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Settings">
    Go to **Dashboard → Settings**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the deletion dialog">
    Scroll to the account deletion section and open the confirmation dialog.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Type DELETE to confirm">
    Type `DELETE` exactly, in uppercase, into the confirmation field.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm">
    Submit the dialog. Kova deletes your data and signs your browser out.
  </Step>

## What may remain

Certain records may be retained after deletion:

* Invoice snapshots required for billing and tax records
* Limited legal, security, diagnostic, or backup entries
