Kova uses Discord as its only production sign-in provider, so you need a Discord account to access the member portal. The sign-in flow authorizes Kova to read your identity and email, and may attempt to add you to the Kova Discord server if the bot and guild are configured.

Open the Kova member portal

Navigate to the Kova portal in your browser. If you are not signed in, you will see the landing page with a sign-in option.

Click Sign in with Discord

Select the Sign in with Discord button to start the OAuth authorization flow.

Approve the Discord consent screen

Discord displays a consent screen requesting the identify, email, and guilds.join scopes. Review the permissions and authorize Kova. This screen appears on each fresh authorization.

Land on onboarding or the dashboard

If this is your first time signing in, you are redirected to the onboarding wizard. Returning members go straight to the dashboard.
Your signed session is capped at 12 hours. A non-persistent browser marker prevents session reuse after you close the browser, so you will need to sign in again after fully closing and reopening your browser.
When the Kova Discord bot and guild are configured, Kova attempts to add the consenting member to the Kova Discord server automatically. A join failure does not block a valid portal sign-in.

Troubleshooting

  • Banned members: If you are banned, you are blocked during sign-in and at authenticated server boundaries.
  • Guild join failures: If the bot cannot add you to the Discord server, your portal sign-in still succeeds. You can continue using Kova normally.
  • Consent screen repeats: Because Discord shows the consent screen on each fresh authorization, you will always review the requested scopes before signing in.
